Process Overview
Batch arrival to treated crate in 3 minutes.
Ecogear connects to your existing sorting line. Here is the process.
A camera or existing sorting-line sensor records each arriving crate's batch data: color index, surface firmness readings, and ambient temperature at receiving.
The Ecogear AI model predicts each crate's remaining shelf life and creates a ranked treatment queue. It flags high-risk crates for immediate action before they continue down the line.
Priority crates receive food-safe coating at your existing dip, spray, or wax-roller point. The dashboard confirms every treated batch in real time.
After treatment, the system sends each batch's shelf-life forecast to the Ecogear dashboard. Retailers can receive downstream freshness data reducing short-code complaints at delivery.
What is needed to begin.
- Basic sorting-line sensor feed or manual batch data entry
- Existing-line coating point, dip, spray, or roller
- Internet access for the dashboard
- One staff member for the first three trial runs
- AI model access and dashboard setup
- Coating supply for your trial volume
- Remote setup help and integration guide
- Staff training and go-live checklist
Inquiry to first treated batch: usually 3 to 4 weeks.
Our field team reviews your sorting-line setup, verifies sensor compatibility, and identifies the coating point. Most facilities complete this remotely.
Trial coating ships within 5 business days after assessment sign-off. In parallel, the AI dashboard is configured for your crop types and sensor format.
Your team runs its first live treatment batch with Ecogear support on standby. Staff training covers the dashboard, treatment queue, and daily reporting workflow.
Shelf-life data starts accumulating. Your team gets the feedback needed to adjust application rates and improve grading decisions through the season.
